Hello there 🐝️
I’m Lucy - I use React, hooks, Context, Redux and all flavours of CSS to create beautiful, modern web experiences.

Teacher, marketeer and proofreader in a previous life, I have a penchant for design and intuitive software. I care what websites look like, how they feel and how easy they are to use.

Previous work

  • front page of IPG dxtra website

    Agency group IPG DXTRA's rebrand

  • Nutmeg Nuggets campaign

    Financial platform Nutmeg's "Nuggets" campaign

  • Product / UX / UI

With a keen eye for good design and a fluid user journey, I enjoy working closely with designers and product teams to produce beautiful platforms that make sense.

  • Organised and semantic

I like my code clean, structured and re-usable - so it makes sense not only to machines but to humans too!

  • Animations

I believe good design and subtle interactions can make a world of difference to a user's perception of a platform. I use CSS animations, GSAP and Lottie JS to make sites come to life and enhance user experience.

  • Logic & data visualisation

I often build complex applications that handle large amounts of data and I enjoy using charting libraries like D3.js to create interactive graphs that make it easier for users to digest information.

In my spare time, I’m a lead teacher and mentor for Code Your Future - a volunteer-led charity coding bootcamp for refugees and disadvantaged people.

When I’m not coding or teaching, you’ll probably find me dancing, travelling, climbing rocks or correcting people’s grammar.
